The basic mission of an EOL or Elder Doula is to increase support resources and help elders meet their end of life planning with dignity.
Who We Are
Aungier is a native of the Greensburg area. She has earned both her Bachelors and Masters of Social Work Degree from West Virginia University. She also has a Minor Degree in Gerontology. She started out her career in Long term care, first as a Social Worker, and then as a Nursing Home Administrator. She transitioned into the end of life field sixteen years ago as a Hospice Social Worker, and then a Hospice Director. She then founded and managed Promise Hospice in 2010 and Promise Concierge Service in 2013. She recently started PromiseCare End of Life Doulas and PromiseCare End Of Life Doula Network (PDN) in 2017.
Haley is a native of the Pittsburgh area. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Psychology from West Virginia University, as well as, a minor degree in statistics. She received her Master’s in Social Work from University of Pittsburgh. Haley is a PA Licensed Social Worker. She started out her career in child therapy, working with children who suffered from severe behavioral issues. She transitioned into the medical field as a Medical Social Worker for hospice in 2012. She came to Promise Hospice in 2014, where she started as Medical Social Worker and progressed into the Assistant Administrator. She assisted Elizabeth Aungier, with the development of the PromiseCare Doulas and PromiseCare Doula Network in 2017.
